Sri Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor – A Spiritual Oasis in the Heart of Bengaluru

Tucked away in the vibrant neighborhood of Ulsoor, Sri Ramakrishna Math stands as a serene spiritual sanctuary amidst the bustle of Bengaluru city. Rooted in the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, the Math has been nurturing spiritual seekers and serving the community for over a century.

Established informally in 1906 with the blessings of Swami Vimalananda, a direct disciple of Swami Vivekananda, this humble ashrama began as a space for daily worship and meditation. Officially inaugurated as “Vivekananda Ashrama” in 1907, it gradually grew into a beacon of spiritual learning and service. In 1999, it was recognized as an independent branch of the Ramakrishna Order and later renamed Sri Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor.

The Math’s mission goes beyond spiritual upliftment. It houses a charitable dispensary, a well-stocked library, and regularly organizes satsangs, pujas, and cultural programs. It’s a place where ancient wisdom meets selfless service, and where seekers find peace, purpose, and inner growth.

Whether you are on a spiritual quest or simply looking for a quiet place to reflect, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor welcomes everyone with open arms and a tranquil heart.
